Today we live in a society of instant gratification, if there is a way to feel better have less stress without doing something which consumes time, doesn’t that sound good!! Truth is a majority of the population these days would agree with that statement. It is the “New-Norm” whereas no matter what happens in your life there is a quick solution, a “Magic Pill” which can “Fix-It-All.” Remember when you were a child and your parents told you to eat your vegetables? They always reminded you how important that was for your health. Not to mention the importance of a well balanced diet. For me, somehow I always wanted to have a nice desert more than my vegetables, sound familiar? As we became older we learned just how important it is to have a proper balanced diet, along with exercise to keep our heart healthy. I have to confess though a nice bowl of ice cream is still not totally out of my diet. Like with anything in life as long as it is not in excess it is OK, at least that’s what my doctor says! Did you ever consider what type of information you feed your mind with can have an impact in your current health? Ever watch a movie and cry at the end? Eat too much food and feel tired? Listen to a song and remember how it made you feel? Smell smoke from a camp fire? Go to the beach and feel the sand between your toes? Do you remember when you were happy or sad? Our minds are like a computer, information is...

To be a great leader you first must lead yourself. It’s not that difficult to take on a leadership roll in the work place today, companies are looking for motivated people who ready to step up and take on more and more responsibility, a self starter, a person that is not afraid of a little hard work. Truth is just because a company promoted a person to a leadership roll does not make them a leader people will want to follow! In order to be a great leader you must gain peoples trust and respect. One of the best ways to do that is to lead by example. Never tell someone to do something you would not do. When I was in construction I learned this from an “old timer.” I was working as an apprentice and just passed my test to become a journeyman in the building trades. The next step for me was to run my own jobs, I’ll never forget the advice of that old timer, he sat me down one day looked me in the eye and stated: Never tell someone to do something you would not do yourself. Steve if you want to earn the respect and trust of people you must first respect and trust yourself. I never forgot his words, they served me well over the years. I was blessed in the trades, I raised a family and lived a good life. Over the years there were 3 key elements which helped me to be very successful: Respect When your in a leadership roll it is easy to demand what you...

Seems like only yesterday my Geography teacher telling us about the difference between the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. It was one of those stories which we were supposed to listen and pertain it to real life. At least that was what we were supposed to do…Truth is back then most of us had little interest in school, when in class we were more interested in what we were going to do after school that day. I can remember the teacher telling us to pay attention to the “Message.” Like we were smart enough to learn that lesson!! The dead sea is not really a sea at all in fact it is a lake. The salt content is so high that if you were to go swimming there you would float! It has been said that if you were to lay down you would float with out having to move your arms or legs, the salt content is 35 % which translates to roughly 10 times more than normal ocean water. There is no fish, Vegetation, or any life sources around the lake, which is why it is called the Dead Sea. With as much adversity as one can imagine, both seas are actually fed by the river of Jordan, however they are quite different from each other. The Sea of Galilee is located just to the north of the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee contains, clean water, plenty of fish, as well as many plants. So how can two bodies of water which are fed from the same source be so different? The Sea of...

I came across this poem “Don’t Quit” which is inspiring and well written. With simple words the message of determination, perseverance. life’s challenges can enhance our destiny. It can be unclear when the storms of life hit us, that in midst of each black cloud there is a seed of growth. Yet when most people are faced with uncertainty tend to give up and quit, this poem is a different way to look at issues which we don’t understand or want to face. A simple way to ignite the inner voice that speaks within us all. No matter how large or how small, by simply keep going every day will lead you closer to your goals. It has been said that quitting is a temporary solution to a permanent problem. By never quitting and looking at every failure as a lessen learned, we gain confidence, our vision of what we seek in life appears, this leads to momentum which essentially leads to success. When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don’t you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won if he’d stuck it out. Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow – You may succeed with another blow. Often the goal is nearer than It seems to...

Did you know there is a way you can feel healthier, happier and have more energy with out spending any money, taking medication, or changing your diet! Sound too good to be true ?? If this was true would you like to learn how? Fact is it this is one hundred percent true. Each one of us has the ability to feel healthier, happier as well as have more energy. There is no “Secret Formula” or “Magic Potion.” However it is a choice. Science tells us that an “Attitude of Gratitude” can have a positive impact on our health. Remember when the last time you were grateful for something? Didn’t you feel more optimistic? Relaxed, happy, and joyful. Imagine if you could feel that way on demand every day! Gratitude can help you in many ways: Relationships The one thing we all strive for is a meaningful relationship with our spouse or partner, sometimes we forget to tell them how much they mean to us. Or forget to tell them thank you. When we were younger our parents always taught us to say thank you, be grateful for what you have! I can still hear my mothers words. Let those people know how important they are to you, tell them how much you love them! The universal laws which surround the energy we expand always come back us. In life we get what we give, if it’s love you seek then send it out into the universe. State of Mind We live in an instant gratification society, information is streaming every where you look these days. I was...

If your one of those people who is “always on” trying to achieve more and ahead in your business or career, only to find yourself at the end of the day no further ahead than when the day started…You might want to take a minute and refine your current approach. Don’t get discouraged, there are millions of people who have the same daily challenges. When I first started in business I believed that I could get more work done by extending my day, even if it meant working nights and weekends. Sound familiar ?? Truth is successful people commit as much time to all areas of life as they do to their business. Their focus is always on the goals which they desire to achieve, so is the focus on all areas of life ! When I implemented that strategy in my daily focus my whole life began to change. Begin by identifying what is important. “Where your focus goes energy flows.” Be aware of the people around you, I found it helpful to share my expectations with the people on my team, which helped them to understand where I was going everyday. On of my favorite things to do is going for a walk with my dogs, yet if I never told my team I needed 30 minutes a day with no phone call how would they know? Maybe you want to go to the gym, spend time with the family, go for a walk, a day off, a vacation? let your team know what you need, no-phone calls, no-emails, no-text messages, or any other form of communication...
