If you are in sales one of the harder aspects of selling is to ask for the sale, yet is one of the most overlooked part of sales. Most sales happen after asking more than one time, some studies have suggested 80 percent of sales happen when the prospect is asked more than one time! Which is why most people don’t achieve the results they desire, get discouraged and quit. Did you know, if you are not involved in a sales job you still sell every day?? Remember when you were younger and wanted to sleep over a friends house? You pulled out all the stops…But mom all my friends are sleeping over! Both parents will be home…We’ll go to bed early…I promise to come right home in the morning! Seems like yesterday. Right ?? Building rapport is a key element in sales as well as in every day life. Sometimes we miss out on opportunities, it could be a sale if you sell for a living, could be earning a persons trust, or a job promotion. If you and I are going to live the life we desire we must learn to build rapport with the people within our lives. Why is that important? Building rapport can provide you with many opportunities. Think about it, there are unlimited ways you can apply rapport in your every day life. Friends, family, co-workers, and someone we don’t know. When rapport is established you are in control!! Most people remember the movie Rocky. The move as well as the sequels were huge box office successes. Starting out with nothing in but the desire to win. With little experience Rocky overcame many challenges to become the heavyweight champion. He had something unique within, he had a big heart, and the persistence required to be successful. Remember how many times he got hit and how beat up he looked!! The first time I watched the movie I thought to myself, don’t give up you can do it. I’ll never forget how I felt when the movie was over, it was like an amazing force touched my heart. I began to think about all the possibilities in my own life. I thought to myself, Rocky had nothing but a burning desire, he didn’t care what other people thought, he just went out there and gave it his all. I can be just like him! Each time we see someone overcoming challenges, the underdog inside each of us awakens. We begin to see ourselves as that person, we don’t think about failure that’s not an option. So how do we awaken the underdog within? Truth is the fact you can identify with it, that greatness already exists in you…It’s in our DNA. Our subconscious mind does not know the difference between a thought or reality. If want to awaken the underdog within, you must first monitor what you are feeding your mind. There is an old...

When Tony Robbins was in his teens he found himself broke with 26.00 to his name he had lent 1200.00 to a friend and was calling him to see if he could pay him back…Frustrated Tony sat down and thought about what to do next. He needed eat and be smart about spending his money as well as how he would survive. Tony decided to go to a restaurant on the other side of town. There was an all you can eat buffet for about six dollars and ninety five cents or so…There he could eat for a few days while he would figure out what to do. As he was eating a very large portion of food Tony noticed a little boy open the door for his mother followed her to the table and held the chair for her to sit, like a true gentleman. Tony was completely taken back by this boy so much so that on his way out he stopped and introduced himself to him, told the boy how much of a gentleman he was to his female guest, the boy smiled and said-That’s my mom I’m not really taking her out I don’t have any money…Tony looked at him and said, yes you...
