At some point in life we’ve all looked back at our actions and said…You know I should have done…Our list of what we should have done is actually quite large when you sit down and think about it. I should have taken that job, I should have studied harder for that exam, I should have spent more time with my kids, I should have saved more money, I should have called my sick uncle, I should have went to college and got a degree, I should have asked that girl out in high school, I should have spent more time on my health, I should have been more patient last week, I should have bought that house, I should have…I should have…I should have… Truth is there are many things we should have done in our lives, challenge is when we look back it’s too late right? Well, not exactly, although there’s no way to turn the clock back in time and some things you can’t change, however going forward we are in control of our lives, if we choose to do so. Discipline is the foundation of success, we’ve all heard to be successful you must be disciplined, yet so many of us fall short of our goals! Is it because success is not in our DNA? We all have the same odds to be successful if we don’t bite off more then we chew. Starting a new discipline is not hard if we take a step each day, one of the biggest reasons people fail is they attempt to do it all at once! When a road...

We all desire to be successful in life, have meaningful relationships and contribute to society. It’s no secret some people get along easier than others, seems like no matter what they do success is effortless yet for most people every day life can be a struggle. Why is it so easy for some and a struggle for others? The answer may surprise you…There are many components which lead to success however there is only one quality that leads to sustainable and long term success in all areas of life…Self Discipline…No matter if your working on health, wealth, relationships, career, self discipline is the number one key to a balanced and healthy lifestyle not to mention how when in control of all areas of life how much happier you’ll be! People with a high level of self discipline tend to be happier than those without. This is directly related to a reduced desire to indulge in activities which lead away from actions not in alignment with goals, inner conflicts become not a focus point. Completing goals is a part of daily thinking process and not just getting something done in order feel better. It is recognized in order to complete a goal there are certain aspects of behavior which are automatically controlled in order to achieve a desired result. Repetition is the mother of all skill, so is self discipline it is a learned behavior. As with any behavior daily practice helps develop a habit. Ever notice when a goal is achieved how good it makes you feel? But what happens next? Do we look for the next mountain to...

If you ask an athlete what the secret to being a champion is, you’d find the answer the same among all of them. You can’t achieve success alone. They know in their soul, motivation is the key to success as well as the support of their team. Finding a coach is an essential part of any athletes training. No matter what the challenge a coach is there to keep you focused on your goals but more importantly, help you develop the discipline to keep going even when you want to quit! Just a few examples from some of the most successful coaches of our time: “Without self-discipline success is impossible, period.” Lou Holtz “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.” John Wooden “Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.” Vince Lombardi Athletes know what their goal is and have a clear vision of what they intend to do to get there. Each day begins early eating healthy foods while keeping a close eye on how many calories they consume. Whether it’s walking running or riding a bike every day they challenge them self to do a little bit better. Workouts become a part of life, some day’s are a challenge, sore muscles, fatigue, can wear on them after many weeks and months of training. However they keep going. In their soul there is an inner champion keeping the fire burning. Success is only developed working on yourself over and over again. When ever a feeling of quitting...

Most of us have have heard stories of successful people and how they have had developed amazing discipline during their life which has lead to even more success! Did you realize you can develop that same amazing discipline which most people desire but never seem to achieve the results they desire? Truth is there is no secret to developing discipline, it can be as easy as a few changes in your current behavior. However, the first thing we need to realize is what we need to change to develop a new pattern. Have you ever wanted to loose weight or exercise more? We all have at one point in our lives. The hardest part about getting into shape is just showing up at the gym! Once your there the workout is not that bad…We think about going to the gym all day, sometimes we try to justify why we can’t make it to the gym. I worked late today and I’m tired. I don’t have time tonight I have to cut the grass I need to weed the garden I have to Wash the car Take the dog for a walk (or any other excuse we can think of) Discipline can be developed by small daily activities which can be as simple as the following: 1) Develop a written game plan. 2) Which one will make you feel good when complete 3) Number them with the most important one first One of the challenges is with trying to get it all done, instead take bite size pieces, for example if you are looking to get in shape...
