What is the secret of words and emotion? Is it limited to the English language? French? Spanish? or another language which utilize words with different meanings? The question is what drives language. Words do have different meaning however when combined with emotions such as hate, love, anger are all part of emotions. When fueled with emotion issues become created or solved. Today language around the world is different in how they are spoken as well as how they are interpreted, yet with all language spoken on a different platform, the meanings behind the words is the same. If we were to go to china and listen to how people communicate most of would not understand a word of what they were saying. But if we observe their emotions you’d understand when someone was angry or happy. Even in other languages each emotion is different with each word they choose. We sometimes don’t realize when we speak the words we utilize have completely different meanings yet we speak them in the same sentence. Have you ever told someone you loved them but also told them I hate you have to go to work at that job? Two completely different words with completely different meanings yet we say them frequently! The challenge is the combination of words and emotion has an effect on the point we are attempting to get across to a person, if we power a word with too much emotion the point is over done, or we don’t attach enough emotion to a word our outcome could not be what we expect. Leaders know when speaking in front...

We’ve all heard that old saying “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” But some would argue what is the first step? is it for wealth? fame? relationships? or happiness? truth is a forward step in any direction is progress, however one must ask them self if I achieve this goal will I be happier? will more of what you want really make you happy? Our society has programmed us to believe we will be happy once we get…Yet we still look for that one shinny object to bring us happiness. It has been debated by some great minds over the years, the true meaning of that which makes us happy. Each of us has a different definition of what makes us happy. We’ve all been there though once that new car we worked so hard for is finally parked in our driveway, the newness wears off quick! Over the years I’ve come in contact with many different people who have interesting ideas as to what the true happiness is for them, however after becoming an observer it’s not that hard to figure out what it is. Back in high school I can remember a friend of mine who’s parents were well off, never went without a thing, his first car was only a couple of years old while the one I was driving came from two cars made into one! Don’t get me wrong I was grateful to even have a car at the time, yet my buddy was always looking for a better and faster car! And when he found one his dad...

At some point in life we’ve all looked back at our actions and said…You know I should have done…Our list of what we should have done is actually quite large when you sit down and think about it. I should have taken that job, I should have studied harder for that exam, I should have spent more time with my kids, I should have saved more money, I should have called my sick uncle, I should have went to college and got a degree, I should have asked that girl out in high school, I should have spent more time on my health, I should have been more patient last week, I should have bought that house, I should have…I should have…I should have… Truth is there are many things we should have done in our lives, challenge is when we look back it’s too late right? Well, not exactly, although there’s no way to turn the clock back in time and some things you can’t change, however going forward we are in control of our lives, if we choose to do so. Discipline is the foundation of success, we’ve all heard to be successful you must be disciplined, yet so many of us fall short of our goals! Is it because success is not in our DNA? We all have the same odds to be successful if we don’t bite off more then we chew. Starting a new discipline is not hard if we take a step each day, one of the biggest reasons people fail is they attempt to do it all at once! When a road...

We have all heard how think positive and your life will be better, yet we still let negative thoughts enter our minds through out the day. We all know not to fall into bad habits which pull us away from our destiny. The voice in our heads is always speaking whether we realize it or not. Why do we avoid actions which move us ahead in life at the same find time to spend on non essential actions, or negative behavior, bad habits or non successful things we know won’t help us improve. That voice inside that says, you don’t need to read that book tonight you worked hard all day you deserve to sit in front of the T.V. and relax tomorrow is another day. Truth is we’ve all experienced this issue at some point in our lives. That inner voice just won’t go away, in fact as years go on it becomes a dominate force in our thought pattern. If not addressed over time breaking bad habits becomes difficult. Instead of saying when you’re going to do a task you say I’ll get to it later, which we all know never comes. There is however a solution to quieting those voices, we must first slow down and listen to the faint voice of success which resides in us all, although with any new challenge there is always a learning curve. As a weight lifter gains strength each time they work out our ability to develop a strong sense of positive thought is developed the more we listen. It has been said the voice of success is within...

If your like most small business owners you’re always working to improve the product you sell. Could also involve better marketing ideas, incentives, buy one get one at half price or a slight change in how sales are conducted. Nevertheless, as an owner we always work to be our best. Today there’s more competition in the market place. Although some see that as a threat, when competition is what keeps us on our toes! Truth is we are all challenged each day as the winds of change in business blows on us all. Clients tend to demand more and more of our attention as well as at times question pricing. There is no way to tell how the future is going to turn out in the business cycle, right? Well that’s not entirely true. I’m from the baby boomers generation, which can have an affect on business. As we age our demands change, our needs for material things is not a priority, we move from consumption to saving. This change is a challenge as time goes buy, depending on your business model, revenue is most likely to change over the coming years. The economy is going through a difficult point in time with the millennium generation getting pulled down with massive student loans to my generation struggling to create enough savings for retirement, although the markets are up at the moment, recent activity has peoples 401’s loosing money which presents the question where do you invest these days? You should ask your financial advisor before you make any quick moves. Another change we’re experiencing these day’s is the ability...
